OUR STORY

Curl Code started long before it had a name.

For years, I unapologetically shared my curls the same way I shared every other part of my life. The routines, the styles, the products, what worked, what didn’t, and everything I learned along the way.

And over time, something much more meaningful started happening. My community began sharing how my story impacted their story.

In comments, messages, conversations around the world, and even the few minutes we had together in passing, you told me about your curls. And, more than anything, how what I shared online had shaped the confidence you found in embracing your hair.

Those stories stayed with me. And they changed how I wanted to build.

Because curls are so much more than what happens in the mirror. It’s the confidence of walking into a room exactly as you are. The ritual you’ve perfected over years. The tip your mom taught you. The routine you sent to the group chat. The curl day so good it changed the entire mood.

That feeling is at the heart of Curl Code.

We’re creating intentionally designed tools, haircare, and accessories for every texture. Shaped by real routines, real experiences, and the people who live them every day.

Culture In The Code

Rooted in my Black and Mexican heritage, I always wanted Curl Code to reflect the world of curls as I know it, honoring the Black community as a blueprint for so much of the curl culture we know and love today, while celebrating the beautiful ways curls show up across cultures, communities, and generations.

I grew up experiencing that firsthand, sharing so many hair truths, rituals, and traditions with my dad’s side of the family, and so many others with my mom’s. Different cultures and different experiences, with so much shared understanding in between. I feel incredibly lucky to have grown up with both, and Curl Code carries a piece of that perspective with it.

Our stories may be different, but there’s something special about everything we share through our curls. It’s a language so many of us understand.

That’s the culture in the Code.

What began as my story has become ours.

My story. Your story. Our story.
